I've always been fascinated with it's beauty. I found a piece at an antique store a few years ago. I'll have to find it and show it to you all. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13569720420483740487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-22082687293539713502009-03-12T17:18:00.000+00:002009-03-12T17:18:00.000+00:00Lady Shuttlemaker, I humbly accept your gracious g...Lady Shuttlemaker, I humbly accept your gracious gesture. ta very much!Tatskoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12282750261031558615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-29820482693903000092009-03-12T12:55:00.000+00:002009-03-12T12:55:00.000+00:00Hi Pam,I've made you a blog Queen. You may accept t...Hi Pam,
I've made you a blog Queen.

You may accept the award or not.
There are no rules to follow.
You may pass it on as you please.
This is just to let you know that you make my day!LadyShuttleMaker aka MadMadPotterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15649649988687609909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-45306692165618194672009-03-12T00:17:00.000+00:002009-03-12T00:17:00.000+00:00Wow! It's easy just tedious and I would much rather be tatting but love to know how things are made...makes me appreciate them.

Maureen, yes I love to have my mothers things. I taught her to tat and she tatted till the day she died at 89 and I have most of her tatting..only to be given away to special people.
Your mother sounds wonderful,it would be great to pass on one's lacemaking talents to family, I live in hope!!Tatskoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12282750261031558615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-54266400309114975172009-03-11T22:18:00.000+00:002009-03-11T22:18:00.000+00:00This is a precious link with your mother, isn't it...This is a precious link with your mother, isn't it exquisite! My mother did a lot of Petit point and tapestry, she did wonderful work, until rheumatoid arthritis stopped her. She was taught by her German governess over ninety years ago in Siberia!
Needless to say,I never learned, I wish so much now that she had taught me. Academic life took up my time when I was younger, and I have promised myself that I will teach my grandchildren the needlecrafts I now enjoy.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02383223698959645624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-45890698180654282612009-03-11T21:49:00.000+00:002009-03-11T21:49:00.000+00:00What a beautiful heirloom. You may want to forego the ironing before storing as ironing will promote 'yellowing' of the fibers.Randihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11358081715271962886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1954817887445182373.post-1482894951413511042009-03-11T20:40:00.000+00:002009-03-11T20:40:00.000+00:00This is beautiful!
