Happy Easter to all my blogging buddies.
I can't remember if I ever showed you any of my Easter eggs made way back in 2005 when I was in egg decorating mode. I don't think I did even tho' I got the collage photo ready last year so here it is, you can click on it for a closer look.
I can't remember where I got the duck design from but the rest is my own, for what it's worth! The flowers are in a pretty Altin Basak/Oren Bayen.
Just cracked open a dark chocolate bunny to have with my morning coffee.....just a couple of little bits, honest. The chocolate is so thick that I had to hit him hard...poor little bunny.
I am thinking of you all as I eat him....mm!
To celebrate Easter I am drying out a new dye colour CHOCOLATE so you might expect to see a delicious chocolatey treat soon. Does that appeal??
At this stage I am afraid that I cannot keep up with all the lovely yummy dye colours that come from Yarnplayer and Lady Shuttlemaker so I am just doing what I like and I will check later with them to see if I have stepped on their toes...which I must not do! I am not even looking at their colours today in case I should be influenced.

Now that is one awesome egg! Could the little ducky have come from Lindsay Rogers' Tatting Collage? The bunny looks tasty. Wat him ears first! And yes, chocolate thread = chocolately goodness. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph, Lindsay Rodgers that's the one.
ReplyDeleteThe ears are the thickest chocolate!!
I love this egg so much! Beautiful and adorable. I just put a link to this post on my blog. I hope it brings you a few extra clicks.

Denise I am honoured, thanks a million, for linking back to me so well.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely egg! I am also entranced with that GORGEOUS egg stand!!! Where did you get that!? I'll just run over to wherever across the pond and get me one, LOL! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! I'll think of you while I eat my chocolate bunny, too!
I love it too! I don't seem to get around to putting any seasonal decorations out anymore except Christmas - and I think I even missed that last year. So I just really drool over everyone else's.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Easter Egg :D (The lindt bunnies are yummy too:)) Thanks for visiting my blog...sewings in my first ever piece of bobbin lace were the least scary bit so if I can help in any way, just give me a shout :)
ReplyDeleteChic the egg stand is from way back when...when I was entranced by egg decorating...as in blowing and cutting...little doors or cutting the egg in half and hinging the bits together then painting and decorating with lace and stuff..with satin inside.
ReplyDeleteGot my gear from a little firm in Uk that's probably long gone. But if you google 'egg decorating stand' I am sure you will find something. This one was very cheap and basic. I got acrylic stands from ebay in 2005, not very pretty but do the job.
Gina I actually got my 4 decorated eggs out and hung them on a bonsai, I usually don't seem to think of it.
laura rose thanks for you kind offer, I will show my bobbin lace attempts when i have time.
My goodness! I love the decorated eggs! Lovely work, and so clever!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy. I look forward to your latest post! =D
Happy Easter Pamela!
