Teapot Time!

The first new teapot for me to tat in Martha's book is the Tiny Square teapot, mainly because my tat friends got their book today (and they LOVE it) and this was an easy one for all to do.

My first one strangely enough looks a lot like Martha's one...why do I always like her colour choice!!

This one is in size 20 Flora and is nearly 3inches wide.

Now to go mad and tat it in something exotic..what could that be...why not Blue Lagoon from doesn't that sound nice. You just knew that was coming didn't you!!

This one is in Size 40 Blue Lagoon with a solid Deep Turquoise Green from my BL solids for the outer round. I think this is beautiful. It measures just under 2.5 inches.

My final teapot is again in size 20 and Blue Lagoon with a Flora deep purple contrast, very striking but I like the calmer second one the best.

Isn't it funny the effect that the turquoise green has on the Blue lagoon colour in the second teapot. It looks very green while the last one looks very blue.

I would like to try this teapot again with only the central trefoils in a different colour and the two outer rounds the a different colour. how I like to experiment.

My friends got on well but Jackie was the only one to finish, here is her teapot.

Isn't that pretty.

  1. ALright! Alright! Your commercials are working, LOL! I've just ordered my very own "Tea is for Tatting"! LOL!

Your teapots are so pretty in your lovely HDT's!!! :)

  2. They are all very pretty. I like the first and second ones best. Isn't the book great fun? There just isn't enough time in the day.

  3. I really must get a copy of this book!! The more I see, the more I like :)

  4. The teapots are all so pretty! Now I'm in the mood for a cup of tea!

  5. Hi Pamela, Cute little teapot. Thanks for listing the size on this one. My favorite is the third down. I love the contrasting colors. I am going to order this book this week. I love seeing everyone's tatted teapots.

    Have a great day!

  6. I'm eagerly watching all the teapots to come, it is always so fun to see you tat them in all colours!

  7. I like it when you start showing your tatting in different colours like these. Thank you for sharing.

  8. They are all so very pretty. Martha's very clever and your interpretations are always so nice.

  9. Hello! I just thought I'd let you know I linked to this very post on my blog post today! I just got Martha's book in the mail, myself! I thought people would like to see what some of the patterns look like all tatted up! This is such a lovely example! :)

  10. Very nice teapots. I really enjoy when you show us different colors of the same design. Thank you!
